Learning is complex and ever changing.
"The emerging science of learning underscores the importance of rethinking what is taught, how it is taught, and how learning is assessed." I read this article and want our education system to change. I feel driven by curriculum and think that something is lost.
Learning is knowledge. Gaining knowledge about a subject. Developing strategies. Understanding what you know about a subject and adding to that knowledge. It can take many forms and can be demonstrated in a variety of ways. Learning is more than just memorizing facts.
Implications – there is lot out there that technology opens up to the students.
We don’t impart knowledge – we point students in the direction to where they will find that knowledge?
